About Us

Our Story

Healthy Harvest Growers (HHG) is a husband and wife owned
micro farm dedicated to growing healthy nutrient rich microgreens and vegetables for the local community.

Hi, we're Scott and Lori, owners of HHG.  We are
entrepreneurs, love gardening and decided to join these two passions to form HHG located in Matthews, NC.  With uncertain times affecting food
supplies, long shipping times for fresh vegetables, we saw a need for fresh,
organic, non-GMO vegetables being available to the community the same day or within 1 day of harvest.

 How We Grow

Soil nutrient depletion is a factor of commercial growing of
vegetables.  Even with fertilizers, soil grows tired.  Demand
dictates that ground can no longer lay fallow (unused) for a year as was the
custom decades and centuries ago.  This practice would allow the ground to
rejuvenate replacing the nutrients back into the soil.

HHG practices vertical aeroponic farming.  This
technique  allows us to grow vegetables in an organic nutrient rich
solution while being exposed to the air.  The roots being exposed to the
air offers super oxygenation allowing the plants to take on 40% more nutrients
that those grown in soil.  All this while using 95% less water than soil
grown crops.

 Why We Grow

We started this venture as a personal effort to grow nutrient rich vegetables for our family, taking one more step toward food sovereignty.  We believe knowing your grower and your food source is very important which led to HHG.  "We wanted to make this available to our community so our future customers could know where their vegetable and microgreens come from."
